In partnership with the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy, DEC, and others, CDTA is providing free bus service between the City of Albany and Five Rivers on select Saturdays this summer and fall. Take part in a guided program or explore the trails and visitor center on your own.

Bus service to Five Rivers will be provided on July 8 and 22, August 5 and 19, September 2, 16, and 30, and October 14. Go to www.cdta.org for detailed information from CDTA, including the full bus route and schedule. Information is also at www.mohawkhudson.org/nature-bus.

You are invited to slow down and engage with nature, experiencing it through all your senses during a guided trail walk, inspired by the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing. The goal of this walk is to tune in to the present moment while immersing our senses in the sights and sounds of the forest.

Join a guided nature walk through the woods. No registration required.

We welcome those who have any type of physical challenge to all our programs. If you call ahead to let us know your needs, we will be happy to learn how we can serve you.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Registration is required for ALL programs unless otherwise indicated; call 716-683-5959 to register. 
  • If you call outside of normal business hours, you will receive a call confirming your registration or waitlist status. PLEASE SPEAK CLEARLY when leaving your name and phone number as our system does not have caller ID. Unless you receive a callback, you are not registered. 
  • Registration is limited to two programs/month. If you want to sign up for additional programs, you will be added to the waitlist. 
  • In case of poor weather, programs may be cancelled.
  • If you or a family member feels ill, is waiting for COVID test results or have COVID symptoms, please stay at home.
  • We cannot accommodate organized youth/civic groups at these programs. Please call to make other arrangements.

Summer is a great time to have fun in nature’s playground. We’ll play some nature-themed games in the field and on the trails at Five Rivers.

 For children ages 7–12, with an adult.
