DEC invites the public to comment about a draft plan to investigate contamination related to the Parkamour Site #C224334 (Brooklyn, Kings County) within New York's Brownfield Cleanup Program. Public comments about the draft plan will be accepted through February 11, 2023.

Join us for story time and meet an animal that lives at Five Rivers’ visitor center. We’ll take a walk on the trails and look for signs of wildlife. For ages 2–6, with an adult. Older/younger siblings are welcome.

Looking to reduce your food waste, but don’t feel like trekking outside to the compost bin? Learn how to create a simple worm composting bin that lives in your house year-round and turn your potato peels into garden gold. We’ll take a closer look at red wiggler worms and learn how they can help us reduce our carbon footprint.

The annual meeting of Friends of Five Rivers will include a light reception followed by a short meeting and a guest speaker (to be announced). All are welcome to attend. Members in good standing are eligible to vote.
