Come help celebrate the continuing recovery of lake sturgeon during the annual stocking event held at Cayuga Lake State Park at the Tompkins Shelter/Pavilion. Each October, DEC's Oneida Fish Hatchery and Genoa National Fish Hatchery in Wisconsin stock lake sturgeon into the tributaries of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River as part of an ongoing effort to recover populations of these state-threatened fish. At this event, you can view live sturgeon up close and ask questions of educators and scientists from DEC, New York Sea Grant, and other partners about this unique fish.

Address/Location: Cayuga Lake State Park, Tomkins Shelter/Pavilion, 2678 Lower Lake Road, Seneca Falls, NY 13148
