DEC's 13-member Climate Justice Working Group, established under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 17. The Climate Justice Working Group is tasked with establishing criteria for identifying disadvantaged communities for the purposes of co-pollutant reductions, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, regulatory impact statements, and the allocation of investments pursuant to the CLCPA.

This informational meeting will not take any official action but include presentations on mapping analysis and will be conducted by teleconference. Members of the public are welcome to listen to the meeting via webcast.

Calling all treasure hunters!  Let’s learn to Geocache and find out what has been hidden at Five Rivers. Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.  GPS devices are provided. Participants are asked to dress for the weather and bring along water and a snack. Please meet at Five Rivers’ Guided School Program Building.

Who: Adults individuals    Maximum Participants:  5 Adults
Time & Dates: Wednesday, 1:00–2:30 PM, November 3, 10, and 17 (Rain Date: November 24)

Fee: $35 for members, $50 for non-members for all three weeks

Two DEC Wildlife Biologists will be discussing how to buy a hunting license, what your tags mean, how to use them, and how to tag and report your game after a successful hunt.
