The public comment period begins on September 8, 2021. The public is invited to submit written comments on the proposed Part 353 rulemaking through November 22, 2021.

Two proposed rulemaking hearings will be held on Wednesday, September 8 at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to accept statements from the public regarding 6 NYCRR Part 368 to repeal and replace existing regulations for Recycling Emblems, develops new regulations for mercury-added consumer product labeling and develops new regulations for the existing Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act (EERRA). 

Persons wishing to comment or to attend one of these virtual hearings must register in advance of the hearing no later than Tuesday, September 7, 2021. To register electronically, visit  http://www.webex.com, click "Join a meeting," input the event number listed below, click "Register," and fill in the requested information. You will be asked whether you wish to make a public statement or not. After registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation by email with information about how to join the hearing.

To register by telephone: Any person who is not able to login electronically may participate by telephone. Call-in participants must register to speak in advance by calling the Department at 518-402-9003 no later than 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
