Boutwell Hill State Forest will host be the host site for I Love My Park Day events on May 1st and 2nd

Three separate projects are planned, so sign up for the one you'd like to help with:

Project #1: involves spring trail cleanup on the Chautauqua County Equestrian trails. Volunteers will meet at the Ruttenbur Road parking area on the north end of the property. There will be two different time blocks available for each day, 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools such as gravel rakes, shovels, pruners, loppers, and hand saws.

Project #2: on a portion of the Cherry Creek Sno-Goers snowmobile trail that needs drainage work. Volunteers should meet at the state lands access road off Sanford road. This work will take place May 1st and 2nd from 9am-3pm. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools such as gravel rakes and shovels.

Project #3: involves the Boutwell Hill Ski Club, which will include trail remediation and tree planting on May 1st and May 2nd from 9am-3pm. Volunteers should meet at the Ruttenbur Parking Area on the north end of the property. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools such as loppers and shovels.

People of all ages and abilities are welcome. Tasks will be matched to volunteer ability and interest. Volunteers must bring their own snacks and/or lunch, drinks, gloves, sturdy shoes, and bug spray. Masks must be worn if social distancing is not possible. Hand sanitizer will be provided. No bathroom facilities  will be available on site so please use Leave No Trace principles for this event:
