Become a Five Rivers “5R”

September 22 through October 12

Become a Five Rivers “5R” by walking at least five of our trails between September 22 and October 12. Explore at your own pace. Maybe you’ll discover a new favorite! Visit the Friends of Five Rivers for more details about how to record and share your achievement.

  • Nature’s Accessible Backyard Trail (0.3 mile)
  • Beaver Tree Trail (0.5 mile)
  • Old Field Trail (0.6 mile)
  • Vlomankill Trail (0.6 mile)

Adventurer Trails:

  • Service Road Loop Trail (1.3 miles)
  • Wild Turkey Trail (1.8 miles)
  • North Loop Trail (2.0 miles)

Connector Trails:

  • Big Pine Trail (0.2 mile; connects to North Loop Trail)

Rensselaer Resource Recovery LLC - Applicant applied to NYSDEC for permits to construct and operate a municipal solid waste processing facility with an annual throughput up to 150,000 tons. Project is located at 36 Riverside Avenue, Rensselaer, New York.

A Legislative hearing pursuant to part 624 to hear and receive unsworn comments from the public to be held on October 6, 2020 at 5:00 pm. The hearing is being conducted electronically through the Webex Events electronic webinar platform. See URL above for more information on how to join this webex.

Written comments concerning the application and permit denial must be postmarked by Friday, October 9, 2020 and mailed to the contact listed above.

Adjudicatory Hearing: The adjudicatory hearing is scheduled to take place through electronic webinar, immediately following the issues conference and will continue on successive days, as necessary. Members of the public may observe the adjudicatory hearing by attending the electronic webinar.
