Mountain Brook Lamprey

Mountain Brook Lamprey occurs in medium-sized and smaller streams with clean sand. It is found in the Allegheny watershed, where it is native. It has increased in range and abundance in the last 30 years. Although it is range restricted, it seems secure. It is classified as Special Concern.
