| Minimum Qualifications Strictly adhered to based on Civil Service requirements | Minimum Qualifications for Provisional Appointments: Promotion: A. One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Biologist 4 (Wildlife, Ecology or Aquatic); or B. Two years of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Biologist 3 (Wildlife, Ecology or Aquatic), Fish Culturist 6 or Regional Supervisor Natural Resources. Open Competitive: A bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of experience in the implementation and administration of environmental programs, natural resources programs or protection of natural resources and/or the environment. Three (3) years of this experience must be managerial. Managerial experience must include supervision of program staff; preparation and implementation of annual budgets and workplans; management of allocated fiscal resources; and program review and evaluation. Substitution: A master's degree may be substituted for one year of the specialized experience and a Ph.D. may be substituted for a total of two years of the specialized experience.
