Open competitive minimum qualifications (70.4 transfer eligible): Either 1. an associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, or construction technology AND three years of qualifying experience as described below;** Or 2. five years of qualifying experience as described below.** **Experience assisting in the management of multi-trade construction projects from inception to completion to include cost estimating, construction planning and scheduling; contract document reading and interpretation, including agreement and conditions, plans and specifications; and construction inspection to ensure compliance with building codes for construction projects. Non-Qualifying Experience: Experience in constructing one single-family dwelling. If there is a viable promotion examination eligible list for this position, candidates who qualify based on Section 70.4 transfer options cannot be considered. Reassignment - Currently in the title and an employee of DEC or Reinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis. or Transfer Eligible - One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 17 or higher and: Transfer eligible under Section 70.4: Must meet the open competitive minimum qualifications above. |
