Publications
Most of DEC's publications are produced as online-only documents, and are not available in a traditional, printed form. You will find them throughout this website when you look up the topic you are interested in. The Conservationist, a bimonthly magazine, is packed with informative and entertaining articles, first-rate photography and stunning artwork covering a broad range of environmental and natural history related topics.
- Conservationist - DEC's full-color, award-winning magazine covers a broad range of environmental and outdoor topics. Six issues published per year and are also available online.
- Conservationist for Kids - A companion to Conservationist offers information and activities to encourage kids to enjoy the outdoors. It is aimed at a 4th grade level and is also available online.
- Color brochures and posters of wildlife originally published in the Conservationist.
If you cannot find a publication, e-mail us at contact@dec.ny.gov, or call 518-402-8013.
