Pollution Prevention Training Video for Ski Areas
"Pollution Prevention for New York State Ski Areas: Doing Your Part"

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's Pollution Prevention Unit is working to increase environmental awareness and improve environmental performance at ski areas throughout the state. As such, the Department has worked closely with the NYS Ski Area Association to create training materials for ski area owners and operators that address pollution prevention techniques and best management practices for the ski area industry.
We have developed a training video addressing four important areas of environmental performance: Energy Conservation and Use, Habitat Protection, Waste Management, and Water Resources. We hope that the video and supplemental guides will encourage you to consider incorporating these practices at your facility and will help educate your staff on sound environmental management. Many of the practices are simple to incorporate and are cost-effective.
