Air Guidance and Policy Documents
The Division of Air Resources (DAR) has developed policy documents for use by Department staff, the public and regulated facilities. These documents provide information on the application of the air quality program's regulations and requirements. These program policy documents, known as DAR guides, go through a formal public notice and comment period.
30-Day Public Comment Period Begins on Draft DAR-2: "Oversight of Private Air Monitoring Networks"
The Department has prepared a draft Division of Air Program Policy entitled: DAR-2: "Oversight of Private Air Monitoring Networks" (PDF) (53kb, 4 pgs.). This draft policy is a revision to existing DAR-2 that was issued on December 16, 1997 to reflect current Departmental procedures. The purpose of the proposed Policy is to delineate the oversight procedures required by DEC for private air monitoring networks.
Pursuant to ECL §3-0301(2)(z), public comments on the draft Policy will be accepted for a 30 day period. Comments must be received by 5:00 P.M. June 24, 2013. Comments, and any questions on this Policy, should be directed to:
