Bulk Storage Information Note: This information is intended to provide facility/tank owners and operators answers to commonly asked questions. Facility/tank owners should obtain a copy of the New York State bulk storage regulations from their local DEC Regional Office and read them carefully and in their entirety. Facility/tank owners are responsible for complying with all of the New York State bulk storage regulations.

DER-25: Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS) Inspection Handbook (PDF) (103 page, 1.3 mB) Issued 04/20/2011; Effective 06/03/2011. New program policy that provides guidance for Division of Environmental Remediation (DER) staff on conducting an inspection at a PBS facility in accordance with the PBS regulations, 6 NYCRR Parts 612-614, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency federal Underground Storage Tank regulations, 40 CFR 280.
