§260.1 General classification

(a) The air quality within the political boundaries of Albany County shall be maintained using Levels III, II, and I as set forty in Part 256, Ambient Air Quality Standards--Classifications System, for the areas described in the following sections.

(b) The classification of the air over the Hudson River and its islands shall be the same as the classification of the adjacent land mass.

§260.2 Level III

All that area within the following boundaries:

(a) Commencing at the intersection of the Albany-Saratoga county line land Interstate Route 87 (Northway); thence southerly along Interstate Route 87 to Route 20; thence easterly along Route 20 to School House Road; thence southerly along School House Road to the Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway (Interstate Route 87); thence southeasterly and southerly along the Thruway to Wemple Road; thence easterly to Route 144; thence due east to the west bank of the Hudson River.

(b) Commencing at the junction of Coeymans Creek and the Hudson River; thence westerly and northerly along Coeymans Creek to a point due east of the northeast corner of the village of Ravena; thence due west to said point; thence counterclockwise along the Ravena village line to Route 9W; thence northerly along Route 9W to South Bethlehem Road; thence northwesterly along South Bethlehem Road to Ten Eyck Hill Road; thence northeasterly along a straight line to the intersection of Coeymans Creek and Route 9W; thence due east to the west bank of the Hudson River.

§260.3 Level II

All the area east of a line commencing at the intersection of the Albany-Schenectady county line and Old State Road (Parkers Corners Road); thence easterly along Old State Road to Dunnsville Road; thence southerly along Dunnsville road to the Altamont village line; thence counterclockwise along the Altamont village line to Route 156 (Altamont Road); thence southeasterly along Route 156 to Picard Road; thence southeasterly along Picard Road to Route 85A; thence southerly along Route 85A to Route 85; thence southerly and easterly along Route 85 to Route 43; thence southeasterly along Route 43 to Clarksville South Road; thence southerly along Clarksville South Road to Bennett Hill Road; thence southeasterly along Bennett Hill Road to Tarrytown Road; Thence southeasterly along Tarrytown Road to Cedar Grove Road; thence southeasterly along Cedar Grove Road to Blodget Road; thence southerly along Blodget Road to Route 143; thence easterly along Route 143 to New Baltimore-Aquetuck Road; thence southeasterly along New Baltimore-Aquetuck Road to the Albany-Greene county line; except those areas delineated as Level III.

§260.4 Level I

All that area in Albany County not delineated as Levels III and II.
