§280.1 General classification
The air quality within the political boundaries of Herkimer County shall be maintained as set forth in Part 256, Ambient Air Quality Standards--Classifications System, using Levels II and I as detailed below.
§280.2 Level II
All that area within the following boundaries: Commencing at the junction of Higby Road and the Herkimer-Oneida county line; thence easterly along Higby Road to Furnace Road; thence southeasterly along Furnace Road to Route 171; thence southeasterly along a straight line to the intersection of Elizabethtown Road and Spinnerville Gulf Road; thence easterly along a straight line to the intersection of Ward Road and Warren Road; thence easterly along Ward Road to Route 28; thence northerly along Route 28 to the Mohawk village line; thence counterclockwise along the Mohawk village line to Shoemaker Road; thence northeasterly along a straight line to the intersection of Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway and Route 58; thence easterly along the Thruway to the intersection of the Thruway and Route 5S (Town of Danube); thence southeasterly along Route 5S to the Herkimer-Montgomery county line; thence northerly along the Herkimer county line to the Manheim-Salisbury town line; thence westerly along the townline to a point due south of the intersection of Marsh Road and Hopson Road; thence due north to said point; thence westerly along Hopson Road to Route 29; thence southerly along Route 29 to the Dolgeville village line; thence counterclockwise along the Dolgeville village line to Route 167; thence westerly along Route 167 to Brockett Road; thence westerly along Brockett Road to Davis Road; thence southerly along Davis Road to Bronner Road; thence westerly along Bronner Road to Burrell Road; thence southerly along Burrell Road to Yellow Church Road; thence westerly along Yellow Church Road to Top Notch Road; thence westerly along Top Notch Road to Cole Road; thence southerly along Cole Road to Shells Bush Road; thence westerly along Shells Bush Road to Folts Road; thence due west along a straight line to Steuben Hill Road; thence northwesterly along Steuben Hill Road to Baum Road; thence northwesterly along Baum Road to Dutchtown Road; thence northwesterly along Dutchtown Road to Shortlots Road; thence westrly along Shortlots Road to Cosby Manor Road; thence northwesterly along Cosby Manor Road to the Herkimer-Oneida county line; thence southwesterly along the county line to the point of beginning.

All that area in Herkimer County not delineated as Level II.
