§286.1 General classification

The air quality within the political boundaries of Montgomery County shall be maintained as set forth in Part 256, Ambient Air Quality Standards--Classifications System, using Levels II and I as detailed below.

§286.2 Level II

All that area within the following boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of Route 5S and the Montgomery-Herkimer county line; thence easterly along Route 5S to the Fort Plain village line; thence counterclockwise along the Fort Plain village line to Fisk Road; thence southeasterly along Fisk Road to Heiser Road; thence southeasterly along Heiser Road to Clinton Road; thence northeasterly along Clinton Road to Seebers Lane; thence easterly along Seebers Lane to the Canajoharie village line; thence easterly along the Canajoharie village line to Old Sharon Road; thence due east to Route 5S; thence easterly along Route 5S to the Fultonville village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Route 5S; thence easterly to the Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway; thence easterly along the Thruway to the Amsterdam city line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to the Thruway; thence easterly along the Thruway to the Montgomery-Schenectady county line; thence northerly along the county line to Route 67; thence westerly along Route 67 to Morrow Road; thence northerly along Morrow Road to Hammondtown Road; thence westerly along Hammondtown Road to the Hagerman village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Maple Avenue Extension; thence westerly along Maple Avenue Extension to Midline Road; thence westerly along a straight line to the intersection of Log City Road and Route 158; thence westerly along Log City Road to McKay Road; thence southerly along McKay Road to McDonald Drive; thence westerly along McDonald Drive to Noonan Road; thence westerly along a straight line to the intersection of Albany Bush Road and Danascara Creek; thence southwesterly along Albany Bush Road to Old Trail Road; thence northwesterly along Old Trail Road to Switzer Hill Road; thence northerly along Switzer Hill Road to the Montgomery-Fulton county line; thence westerly along the county line to Fonda, Johnstown, and Gloversville Railroad; thence southerly along the railroad to Commons Road; thence southwesterly along Commons Road to Martin Road; thence southerly along Martin Road to Hickory Hill Road; thence westerly along Hickory Hill Road to Route 10; thence northerly along Route 10 to Stone Arabia Road; thence northwesterly along Stone Arabia Road to Wagners Hollow Road; thence due northwest to the Montgomery-Fulton county line; thence northwesterly along the Fulton county line to the Herkimer county line; thence southerly along the county line to the point of beginning.

§286.3 Level I

All that area in Montgomery County not delineated as Level II.
