§293.1 General classification

(a) The air quality within the political boundaries of Orange County shall be maintained using Levels III, II and I as set forth in Part 256, Ambient Air Quality Standards--Classifications System, for the areas described in the following sections.

(b) The classification of the air over the Hudson River and its islands shall be the same as the classification of the adjacent land mass.

§293.2 Level III

All that area within the following boundaries:

(a) The corporate limits of the City of Middletown.

(b) Commencing at the intersection of the Orange-Ulster county line and the west bank of the Hudson River; thence westerly along the county line to Route 9W; thence southwesterly along Route 9W to Chestnut Lane; thence westerly along Chestnut Lane to Route 32; thence southerly along Route 32 to Gardnertown Road; thence northwesterly along Gardnertown Road to Plattekill Turnpike; thence southerly along Plattekill Turnpike to Union Avenue; thence southerly along Union Avenue to the Newburgh-New Windsor town line; thence southeasterly along the town line to the Newburgh city line; thence easterly along the city line to the west bank of the Hudson River; thence northerly along the west bank of the Hudson to the beginning point.

§293.2 Level II

All that area within the following boundaries:

(a) The corporate limits of the City of Port Jervis.

(b) The corporate limits of the Village of Walden.

(c) The corporate limits of the Village of Warwick.

(d) Commencing at the intersection of Route 218 and Route 318; thence southwesterly along Route 218 to Route 9W; thence southeasterly along Route 9W to the Highland Falls village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to the west bank of the Hudson River; thence northerly along the Hudson River bank to a point due east of the beginning point; thence due west to the beginning point.

(e) Commencing at the intersection of the Orange-Ulster county line and the west bank of the Hudson River; thence westerly along the county line to Quaker Street; thence southerly along Quaker Street to Route 300; thence westerly along Route 300 to Rock Cut Road; thence southerly along Rock Cut Road to Route 17K; thence westerly along Route 17K to Drury Lane; thence southerly along Drury Lane to Route 207; thence easterly along Route 207 to Station Road; thence southerly along Station Road to the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad; thence southwesterly along the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad to Bull Road; thence southerly along Bull Road to the Washingtonville village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Route 94; thence southwesterly along Route 94 to Craigville Road; thence northwesterly along Craigville Road to the Goshen village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Scotchtown Road (Scotchtown Avenue); thence northerly and northwesterly along Scotchtown Road to Goshen Turnpike; thence northwesterly along Goshen Turnpike to Conners Road; thence southwesterly along Conners Road to O'Brien Road; thence northwesterly along O'Brien Road to Bisch Road; thence southwesterly along Bisch Road to Mud Mills Road; thence westerly along Mud Mills Road to the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad; thence westerly and northwesterly along the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad to the Mount Hope-Walkill town line (north of Howells); thence southwesterly along the town line to Reservoir Road; thence easterly along Reservoir Road to Van Duzer Road; thence southerly along Van Duzer Road to Mount Hope Road; thence easterly along Mount Hope Road to Pocatello Road; thence due south to the Walkill-Wawayanda town line; thence easterly along the town line to the Amchir village line; thence southeasterly along the village line to Wawayanda Avenue; thence southwesterly along Wawayanda Avenue to McBride Road; thence southeasterly along McBride Road to Route 6; thence southerly along Route 6 to Ridgebury Hill Road; thence southeasterly along Ridgebury Hill Road to Ridgebury Road; thence northeasterly along Ridgebury Road to Post Road; thence easterly along Post Road to Lower Road; thence northeasterly along Lower Road to Routes 17M and 6; thence easterly along Routes 17M and 6 to the Goshen village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Route 17; thence southeasterly along Route 17 to Arcadia Road; thence southwesterly along Arcadia Road to Conklingtown Road; thence southeasterly along Conklingtown Road to Route 94; thence easterly along Route 94 to the Chester village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to LaRoe Road; thence southerly and easterly along LaRoe Road to Lakes Road; thence northerly along Lakes Road to School Road; thence easterly along School Road to West Mombasha Road; thence easterly along West Mombasha Road to Rye Hill Road; thence easterly along Rye Hill Road to Berry Road; thence northeasterly along Berry Road to the Monroe village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Old Orange Turnpike; thence southerly along Old Orange Turnpike to Harriman Heights Road; thence easterly along Harriman Heights Road to Orchard Hill Road; thence easterly and northerly along Orchard Hill Road to Harriman Heights Road; thence northeasterly along Harriman Heights Road to the Harriman village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to the Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway (Interstate Route 87, northeast side of the village line); thence northerly along the Thruway to Route 32; thence northeasterly along Route 32 to Quaker Street; thence easterly along Quaker Stret to Route 9W; thence southeasterly along Route 9W to the Cornwall village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to the west bank of the Hudson River; thence northerly along the west bank of the Hudson to the beginning point; except that area delineated as Level III.

All that area in Orange County not delineated as Levels III and II.
