§300.1 General classification

(a) The air quality within the political boundaries of St. Lawrence County shall be maintained using Levels III, II and I as set forth in Part 256, Ambient Air Quality Standards--Classifications System, for the areas described in the following sections.

(b) The classification of the air over the St. Lawrence River and its islands shall be the same as the classification of the adjacent land mass.

§300.2 Level III

All that area bounded by a line beginning at the Seaway Channel centerline and the Massena-Louisville town line; thence southerly along the town line to the Massena village line; thence clockwise along the village line to East Orvis Street; thence easterly along East Orvis Street to Route 37; thence easterly along Route 37 to Route 37C; thence easterly along Route 37C to Roosevelt Highway; thence easterly along Roosevelt Highway to the St. Lawrence-Franklin county line; thence northerly along the county line to the Seaway Channel centerline; thence westerly along the Seaway Channel centerline to the beginning point.

§300.3 Level II

All that area within the following boundaries:

(a) The corporate limits of the Town of Massena (including the Village of Massena); except that area delineated as Level III.

(b) The corporate limits of the City of Ogdensburg.

(c) Commencing at the intersection of the Fowler-Gouverneur town line and the Penn-Central Railroad; thence southeasterly along the railroad to Matoon Creek; thence southerly along Matoon Creek to Sawyer Creek; thence southerly and easterly along Sawyer Creek to Doane Road; thence southeasterly along Doane Road to Spragueville-Fowler Road; thence northeasterly along Spragueville-Fowler Road to California Road; thence southeasterly along California Road to the Fowler-Pitcairn town line; thence counterclockwise along the Fowler town line to Battle Hill Road; thence westerly along Battle Hill Road to the Gouverneur village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to the Penn-Central Railroad; thence southeasterly along the railroad to the beginning point.

(d) The corporate limits of the village of Potsdam.

(e) Commencing at the junction of Judson Road and Tupper Road; thence southeasterly along Tupper Road to Route 68; thence southwesterly along a straight line to the intersection of Little River and Canton-Pyrites Road; thence westerly along Little River to Miner Street; thence due west to the Penn-Central Railroad; thence northwesterly along a straight line to the junction of Irish Settlement Road and Route 68; thence due northeast to the Grass River; thence southeasterly along a straight line to the beginning point.

§300.4 Level I

All that area in St. Lawrence County not delineated as Levels III and II.
