§306.1 General classification

(a) The air quality within the political boundaries of Steuben County shall be maintained using Levels III, II, and I as set forth in Part 256, Ambient Air Quality Standards--Classifications System, for the areas described in the following sections.

(b) The classification of the air over Keuka Lake shall be same as the classification of the adjacent land mass.

§306.2 Level III

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of Route 225 and the Corning city line; thence counterclockwise along the city line to the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad; thence northwesterly along the railroad to the Painted Post village line (west boundary); thence counterclockwise along the village line to the Cohocton River; thence southeasterly along the Cohocton River to the Chemung River; thence easterly along the Chemung River to the Corning city line; thence counterclockwise along the city line to West 3rd Street; thence easterly along West 3rd Street to East 3rd Street; thence easterly along East 3rd Street to Route 225; thence southerly along Route 225 to the beginning point.

§306.3 Level II

All that area within the following boundaries:

All that area in Steuben County not delineated as Levels III and II.

(a) Commencing at the intersection of the Hartsville-Canisteo town line and Purdy Creek-Shovel Hollow Road; thence easterly along Purdy Creek-Shovel Hollow Road to Canisteo village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Canisteo-Hornell Back Road; thence northwesterly along Canisteo-Hornell Back Road to the Hornell city line; thence counterclockwise along the city line to the North Hornell village line; thence due north to the Fremont-Hornellsville town line; thence clockwise along the town line to Arkport-Fremont Road; thence northwesterly along Arkport-Fremont Road to the Arkport village line; thence counterclockwise along the village line to Bishopville Road; thence southerly along a straight line to the intersection of Route 21 and the Hornell city line; thence counterclockwise along the city line to Route 36; thence due south to the Hartsville-Hornellsville town line; thence clockwise along the Hartsville town line to the beginning point.

(b) Commencing at the intersection of Mitchellville Road and the Bath-Urbana town line; thence southeasterly along the town line to Route 54; thence due southeast to Mt. Washington-Argus Hill Road; thence southwesterly along Mt. Washington-Argus Hill Road to Rumsey Road; thence southwesterly along Rumsey Road to the Bath village line; thence clockwise along the village line to the Veterans Administration Center boundary; thence clockwise along the Veterans Administration Center boundary to the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad; thence northerly along a straight line to the intersection of the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad and Route 15; thence due east to Mitchellville Road; thence northerly along Mitchellville Road to the beginning point.

(c) Commencing at the intersection of the Erwin-Campbell town line and Meads Creek; thence southeasterly along Meads Creek to Route 15; thence southeasterly along Route 15 to Erwin Hollow Road; thence due east to Route 414; thence southeasterly along a straight line to the intersection of Narrows Creek Road and the Power Transmission Lines; thence easterly along the Power Transmission Lines to a point where they divide near East Corning; thence northeasterly along the Power Transmission Lines to the Steuben-Chemung county line; then southerly along the county line to the Chemung River; thence southwesterly along the Chemung River to Gillette Creek; thence westerly along Gillette Creek to Brown Hollow Road; thence due west to Route 225; thence northerly along Route 225 to the South Corning village line; thence clockwise along the village line to the Corning city line; thence clockwise along the city line to the Chemung River; thence westerly along the Chemung River to the Tioga River; thence southwesterly along the Tioga River to the Canisteo River; thence due west to the Addison village line; thence clockwise along the village line to the intersection of its east boundary and Route 17; thence easterly along Route 17 to the Erie Railroad; thence easterly and northeasterly along the Erie Railroad to Route 17; thence due north to the Power Transmission Lines; thence westerly and northwesterly along the Power Transmission Lines to Curtis Creek; thence due east to Route 15; thence southerly and southeasterly along Route 15 to the Campbell-Erwin town line; thence easterly along the town line to the beginning point; except that area delineated as Level III.
