Environmental Excellence Award
The New York State Environmental Excellence Awards program recognizes New York's environmental and conservation leaders, meeting environmental challenges by using innovative and environmentally sustainable practices or creative partnerships.
Eagle Scout and Girl Scout Gold Award Certificates
DEC provides the opportunity for scoutmasters to complete and print an online certificate for scouts who will be recognized in their troop for environmental projects:
- Eagle Scout Certificate of Merit (PDF, 249 KB)
- Girl Scout Gold Award Certificate of Merit (PDF, 202 KB)
DEC's Conservationist magazine is
published 6 times a year.
DEC's Online Newsletter and Magazine
- DEC Outdoor Discovery - DEC's monthly newsletter about nature, recreation and exploring the outdoors in New York.
- Conservationist - Read DEC's award winning magazine online.
Environmental Notice Bulletin (ENB)
The ENB is published weekly on Wednesdays and contains notices required by environmental law such as:
- Public hearings including those related to SEQR actions
- Environmental Impact Statements (draft to final)
- DEC rule making
- Specialized notices required by environmental law
DEC Delivers - Keeping you Connected and Informed
Sign up to receive email notices concerning those subjects you are most interested in. DEC uses the GovDelivery service to send you news and updates on many topics that cover nearly every aspect of our work.
