I am in receipt of your appeal, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Law ("FOIL"), from the decision of Region 4 of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation ("Department") to redact certain information from a complaint prepared by the Department's Office of Public Protection. The redacted complaint, which summarized information that an outside source provided to the Department, was provided to you pursuant to your FOIL Request No. 07-2189.
Subsequent to the filing of the appeal, Region 4 Assistant Regional Attorney Ann Lapinski advised that you had informed her that you were withdrawing the FOIL appeal. Accordingly, we are closing the file on the appeal. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me.
