8/11	Morning Walk with NYRP I FISH NY	Roberto Clemente Park. Saturday, August 11th. 9AM to 12PM. Explore New York City's natural resources, both aquatic and land. Go fishing then go for a walk led by NYRP naturalists.	Recommended registration with NYRP. Call (212) 333-2552 and ask for Sally Mercedes.
8/11	Celebrate Smokey Bear's 63rd Birthday at Mount Loretto Unique Area	Mount Loretto Unique Area, 6450 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island. Saturday, August 11th, 2007. 1PM to 3PM. New York State Forest Rangers will have wildland firefighting equipment for the public to view. The National Park Service, the New York City Police Department, and the Fire Department of the City of New York will also exhibit their equipment. Clay Pit Ponds State Park Preserve, Greenbelt Education Center, and the New York City Urban Park Rangers will have displays. The public can also engage in hands-on activities, nature walks, environmental games, and a raffle with free prizes. Bring your cameras as the guest of honor, Smokey Bear, will make an appearance at the event. Directions: On Hylan Boulevard, between traffic lights at Cunningham Road and Sharrot Avenue, across the street from the MIV/CYO Building, along the road leading to the bluffs from the parking lot.
