DEC Seeks Information Regarding Selkirk Spill

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is seeking public assistance to find out more information about a petroleum spill that occurred on June 10 on Bridge St. (County Route 396) near the Selkirk fire station, town of Bethlehem, Albany County.

DEC cleaned up the substance and is investigating the cause of the incident. DEC asks that anyone with knowledge of the spill contact DEC at 1-877-457-5680.

Individuals may remain anonymous upon request. Callers should advise the dispatcher they are calling with information regarding the Selkirk spill.

The spill is estimated at about 50 gallons at the point of the puddle with additional spillage along more than a mile of road about one foot onto the grass off the road.
