Commissioner Martens to attend the graduation ceremony for the 19th Basic School of Environmental Conservation Police Officers and Forest Rangers

On Friday, October 18, distinguished guests and family will gather to celebrate the graduation ceremony for the Department's Environmental Conservation Police Officers and Forest Rangers. A total of 47 uniformed officers successfully completed the arduous twenty-four week basic police academy.

WHO: DEC Commissioner Joe Martens will preside over the graduation ceremony.

WHAT: The mission of the DEC is to conserve and protect the state's natural resources and environment as well as the people of the State. Environmental Conservation Police Officers and Forest Rangers are sworn Police Officers authorized to enforce all state laws, with special emphasis on enforcing New York's Environmental Conservation Laws.

WHERE: NYSDEC Training Academy, County Route 2A, Pulaski, NY (exit 36 off of I-81).

WHEN: Friday, October 18, 11:00 a.m.
