The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Region 4 open space Regional Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, March 5 at 2:30 p.m. at the DEC Region 4 office, 1130 N. Westcott Rd. in the town of Rotterdam, Schenectady County.

DEC and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) are co-lead agencies of New York's Open Space Conservation Plan, a plan that serves as a blueprint for the state's land conservation efforts to increase protection of the state's significant natural, scenic, recreational, historic and cultural resources.

The committee is charged with providing input to update the previous Open Space Conservation Plan and to identify the types and locations of open space resources and various open space conservation tools and methods.
