A public availability session will be held on January 14, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm prior to the legislative public hearing. In the event that the High School is closed for the day or closes early due to inclement weather on January 14, 2013, the hearing and availability session will be held on January 16, 2013 at the same times.

Comments will be accepted both verbally and in writing at the public hearing. It is not necessary to attend the hearing to submit a written comment.

CWM currently owns and operates a commercial facility for the treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous and industrial non-hazardous wastes on an approximately 710-acre site in the towns of Lewiston and Porter in Niagara County, NY. Wastes accepted at this facility are ultimately either disposed of in an on-site landfill or shipped to another appropriate facility for further processing and/or disposal. CWM currently operates under a required Part 373 Hazardous Waste Permit. If renewed, this permit will not authorize any expansion to CWM's currently operating hazardous waste landfill (RMU-1) or any new landfills.
