Public Comment Period Extended to July 30 on the Proposed Remediation Plan for the Grumman Aerospace Site
Additional public availability session scheduled for June 21
The comment period on the proposed clean-up plan for the Northrop Grumman - Bethpage site (Former Grumman Settling Ponds) is extended for an additional 30 days, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced today. The public comment period on the Proposed Remedial Action Plan (PRAP) will run through July 30.
In addition, DEC scheduled another public availability session for June 21 at the Bethpage Community Center, 103 Grumman Road West, Bethpage from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The public can arrive anytime between these hours. The availability session is an informal presentation where the public can ask project engineers and state health engineers individual questions about remediation plans for the site.
Public comments on the proposed remediation plan will be accepted at the availability session.
