Beverage Container Bin Grant Opportunity
The New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) today announced a grant opportunity to provide beverage container collection bins to improve public space recycling in New York State. This grant is funded as part of an Environmental Benefit Project and offered through a partnership between NYSAR3 and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
This grant will provide beverage container collection bins to various youth and community organizations in each of the nine DEC regions. In order to qualify for this grant, the applicant's facilities must be open for public use. The collection bins can be used either indoors or outdoors and are intended for the collection of deposit and non-deposit containers.
Applications are available on the NYSAR3 website at: www.nysar3.org and must be postmarked by April 15, 2009; electronic filing is preferred.
