DEC to Host St. Lawrence County Youth Waterfowl and Pheasant Hunt

Free Program for Youth Ages 12 - 15

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced today that St. Lawrence County Environmental Conservation Police Officers (ECOs) are partnering with the Massena Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation to offer youth ages 12 to 15 an opportunity to hunt waterfowl and pheasant this fall.

This free program for youth is a three-day event that meets at the Massena Rod and Gun Club on Friday, September 14, for an educational opportunity followed by two dates for hunting.

Education: Friday, September 14, 5:00 p.m.
Youth Waterfowl Hunt: Saturday, September 22
Pheasant Hunt: Saturday, September 29

Interested youth hunters must possess a New York State small game license. The event is free to participants, and equipment will be provided if necessary.
