License to Liberate the Biological Control Agents of Purple Loosestrife
Statutory Authority: ECL 11-0507(3)
A License to Liberate Galerucella calmariensis, Galerucella pusilla and Hylobius transversovittatus in New York State allows the licensee and/or designated agents to release purple loosestrife biological control agents.
In addition to the above license, other permits may also be required by the DEC and other agencies, such as United States Department of Agriculture and the Adirondack Park Agency.
To apply for this license, fill out and print the Application (PDF, 724kb) and mail the completed application to the Regional DEC Wildlife Office.
