Lake Sturgeon License
Statutory Authority: ECL 11-0535 and 6 NYCRR Part 182.7 and Part 175
This license authorizes the import, possession and sale of Lake Sturgeon legally obtained outside New York.
There are two types of licenses:
Importer - authorizes the licensee to import legally taken unprocessed Lake Sturgeon into New York. The licensee may import only to persons possessing a valid Endangered/Threatened Species Processor license.
Processor - authorizes the licensee to purchase unprocessed Lake Sturgeon from persons possessing a valid NYS Endangered/Threatened Species Importer license.
