Carters Pond

Physical Characteristics:

Elevation: 438 feet
Area: 18 acres
Shoreline Length: 0.6 miles
Town: Greenwich

Access:

On Washington Co. Route 49, 2 miles south of the Hamlet of Cossayuna. This is a hand launch. Electric motors only with parking for 10 cars.

Fish Species:

Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch and Brown Bullhead.

Fishing:

Carters pond is managed to maintain a year round warm water fishery that is easily accessible as part of the Carters Pond wildlife management area.

Fishing Regulations:

Statewide Fishing Regulations apply. Ice fishing is permitted.
