Cossayuna Lake

Physical Characteristics:

Elevation: 481 feet
Area: 661 acres
Shoreline Length: 8.1 miles
Max Depth: 25 feet
Town: Argyle

Access:

Located off Route 40 at the Hamlet of South Argyle, east on County Route 49 to East Shore Road. This is a hard surface ramp with parking for 30 cars and trailers. This site is accessible for persons with disabilities.

Fish Species:

Tiger Muskellunge, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Yellow Bullhead, Brown Bullhead, Rock Bass, Pumpkinseed, Bluegill and Yellow Perch.

Fishing:

Cossayuna Lake is stocked annually with tiger muskies, providing a unique angling opportunity within the county. The lake also supports robust populations of largemouth bass, bluegill and yellow perch.

Fishing Regulations:

Statewide Angling Regulations apply. Ice fishing is permitted.
