Sanford Lake is located in eastern Steuben County, north of the Village of Savona. The surrounding landscape is primarily forested with limited development.

Sanford Lake is located partially within Birdseye Hollow State Forest off Kettle Rd. Shore access and boat launch. Electric trolling motors only.
Fish Species:
Banded killifish, black crappie, bluegill, brown bullhead, chain pickerel, common shiner, golden shiner, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed, and yellow perch.
Fishing:
The Sanford Lake fishery primarily consists of brown bullheads, bluegills, pumpkinseeds, black crappie, and largemouth bass.
