Shallow water action is provided by northern pike, commonly 29 inches or larger, and largemouth and smallmouth bass which both reach at least 16 inches. As of 2012, the lake was stocked with Atlantic (landlocked) salmon and rainbow trout. Ice fishing is permitted for species whose season is open at that time.
