Area: 374 acres
Shoreline Length: 8.8 miles
Length: 2.5 miles
Max Depth: 37 feet
Mean Depth: 10 feet
Town: Sand Lake, Nassau

Aquatic Vegetation:

Abundant rooted aquatic vegetation along shoreline and bays.

Access:

Cartop launch located off Burden Lake Road on 2nd Dyke Road. Shoreline fishing off roadways and bridges.

Fish Species:

Northern Pike, Chain Pickerel, Golden Shiner, White Sucker, Yellow Bullhead, Brown Bullhead, Banded Killifish, White Perch, Rock Bass, Redbreast Sunfish, Pumpkinseed, Bluegill, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, White Crappie, Black Crappie, Tessellated Darter, Yellow Perch, Walleye

Fishing:

Burden Lake holds an abundant panfish population some perch of both species up to 13" have been observed. Northern pike and walleye are rare but when caught are often very large. Excellent bass fishing has been reported. Very popular capital region lake year round.

Icefishing:

Permitted.
