Campground Reservations

Find the Perfect Campsite

The ReserveAmerica system helps you find a campground and campsite that fits your needs and desires. Enter your preferred type of campsite (tent, trailer, cabin, etc.), dates, or a date range, and any amenities you'd like, such as boating, fishing, hiking or horseback riding. The ReserveAmerica system will show you what's available.

Important: Do not call the individual campgrounds to make a reservation. All reservations must be made using the ReserveAmerica system.

See the individual DEC Campgrounds for the nightly rates and amenities at each campground.

See the Campground Schedule for opening and closing dates, and the last night to camp. For more information about DEC operated campgrounds and day use areas, call (518) 457-2500.

Please note that we are unable to offer refunds on camping reservations for events, decisions or circumstances that are beyond the Department's control. Further information on fees and cancelation policies can be found on our Reservation website.

Make Your Reservations Early!

Popular campgrounds fill up quickly so make a reservation as soon as possible. You may reserve a DEC campground up to 9 months in advance.

Fishing Licenses

Fishing licenses are no longer sold at DEC campgrounds. Licenses can be conveniently purchased on-line or by phone. Purchasers by phone will receive a confirmation number that will allow them to fish immediately. On-line purchasers can print out their license for immediate use. All campers 16 years of age and older that desire to fish are required to have a freshwater fishing license.
