The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

DEC Wildlife Management Areas provide habitat for wildlfe and recreational opportunities for people. Habitat is provided for birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Waterfowl, fish, game species and non-game species all benefit from the forests, open fields, streams, ponds, and wetlands located in these areas. People who want to hunt, fish, hike or watch wildlife are welcome to enjoy these areas.

Each wildlife management area is unique in the habitat and species present, DEC management and often the types of recreational activities allowed. Use the links below to learn more about each wildlife management area and to view maps of each.
