The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Pleasant Lake


Pleasant Lake is located in the Town of Stratford, Fulton County. Smallmouth bass dominate Pleasant Lake because of its shallowness.

There is shore access at different points along the lake from route 29A that borders the southern shore.


Fish found within this lake include: smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, rock bass, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, and brown bullhead.


Statewide freshwater fishing regulations apply. Ice fishing is permitted on Pleasant Lake.
