Blue Lake

Introduction

Blue Lake

Blue Lake, also called Sterling Forest Lake, is located inside Sterling Forest State Park. Blue Lake is stocked annually with 800 yearling Brown Trout, 100 two-year-old Brown Trout and 800 yearling Rainbow Trout. Anglers can also target Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel and panfish. Blue Lake has a nice boat launch and provides anglers with a good opportunity at catching some fish.

Shore Length: 2.3 miles
Max Depth: 26 feet

Access

Provided by Palisades Interstate Park Commission (PIPC). Located off of Blue Lake Rd. Both a PIPC and Sterling Forest boat permit are required. No gas motors. For more information call 845-351-5907

Fish Species Present

Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel and Panfish.
