Little Choconut 2e

Little Choconut 2e is a small water body located approximately two miles northeast of Johnson City, Broome County. Little Choconut 2e is one of the 20 Broome County PL-566 flood control reservoirs that were created to reduce the potential for property damage caused by stream flooding.

Elevation: 1,200 feet
Area: 1.2 acres
Maximum Depth: 7 feet

Public Access Sites

Broome County Flood Control Pond. Access off Dimmock Hill Road. No boating, swimming or ice fishing allowed on the flood control ponds.

Fish Species

Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, and brown bullhead.

General Fishing Information

Fishing with worms, minnows, artificial natural baits (like Gulp or PowerBait) or corn suspended under a bobber usually works well for the trout.

Fisheries Management

Little Choconut 2e is stocked annually with approximately 190 one year-old rainbow trout (8-9").
