Otter Lake

Otter Lake is a small, shallow, weedy lake located in Cayuga County near the Hamlet of Meridian.

Plant Life

Very abundant rooted aquatic vegetation throughout the lake.

Public Access Sites

General Fishing Information

Largemouth bass and walleye are the main gamefish found in the lake, but northern pike are also occasionally caught. Black crappie, bluegill, pumpkinseed sunfish and brown bullhead can also be found in the lake.

Fisheries Management

Otter Lake is stocked annually with approximately 1,300,000 walleye fry. The local Fish and Game Club has also stocked some walleye fingerlings into the lake in the past. Statewide fishing regulations apply.
