Lake Champlain Angler Diary Cooperator Program (2011)

The Lake Champlain Angler Diary Cooperator Program, begun in 1971, is designed to monitor Lake Champlain's trout and salmon fishery. This report summarizes data collected by volunteer salmon and trout anglers during 2011. The study area comprises Lake Champlain and its tributaries up to the first impassable barrier. Managers use the information collected by cooperators to help manage trout and salmon populations in Lake Champlain. Information from the diary program also helps managers assess the success of the sea lamprey control program.
