Great Sacandaga Lake Angler Diary Report (2010)
An angler diary cooperator program designed to monitor Great Sacandaga Lake's trout fishery began in 2002. A similar diary program oriented specifically towards monitoring the warm-water fishery in Great Sacandaga Lake ran from 1975 to 1981. The current program allows for a comparison of the Great Sacandaga Lake fishery between the two time periods and an evaluation of the current rainbow trout stocking policy. The comparison should reveal if there have been any significant changes in the fishery since the early 1980's.
