|Montauk Point State Park||Open for small game and waterfowl hunting from 12/1 - 2/28. No hunting on weekends or holidays. No small game or waterfowl hunting during January Deer Season. **The dates listed above are the dates the East Hampton Cooperative Area is open for hunting. Hunters must still adhere to the species specific season dates as listed in the 2013-14 Hunting and Trapping Regulations Guide and the 2013‑2014 Waterfowl Hunting Seasons and Regulations. Please refer to the Public Hunting Opportunities on Long Island Brochure or the East Hampton Cooperative Hunting Area Hunting Map and Information Sheet for additional information.
Waterfowl, small game and archery deer hunting: State Managed Land access permits are required. For additional information regarding State Managed Land access permits or sporting licenses please call the Wildlife Office at (631) 444-0310 or the Ridge Hunter Check Station at (631) 924-3156.
Firearms deer hunting: Daily permits are required. Those eligible to select a date and site to hunt select DEC‑managed areas will be determined by a random drawing held on the first Tuesday of December.
