Montauk Point State Park **December 1st - February 28th, No weekend hunting and no small game hunting during the January Shotgun Season. No small game hunting at spots 15 & 16 November 1st - December 31st, No weekend hunting (except at parking spot numbers 15 & 16) **December 1st - December 31st, No hunting on weekends or holidays. January 4th - January 29th, Weekdays only
Hither Hills State Park **December 1st - February 28th, No small game hunting during the January Shotgun Season. November 1st - December 31st **December 1st - December 31st January 54h - January 29th, Weekdays only
Hither Woods **December 1st - February 28th, No small game hunting during the January Shotgun Season. November 1st - December 31st **December 1st - December 31st January 4th - January 29th, Weekdays only

Hunting Procedures

*Trapping and turkey hunting are NOT permitted on any part of the East Hampton Cooperative Area.
**The dates listed above are the dates the East Hampton Cooperative Area is open for hunting. Hunters must still adhere to the species specific season dates as listed in the 2009-2010 Hunting and Trapping Regulations Guide and the 2009-2010 Waterfowl Hunting Seasons and Regulations. Please refer to the Public Hunting Opportunities on Long Island Brochure or the East Hampton Cooperative Hunting Area Hunting Map and Information Sheet for additional information.

Waterfowl, small game and archery deer hunting: Seasonal access permits are required. These can be obtained in person at the Ridge Hunter Check Station while open, or in person or by mail at the NYS DEC Sporting License Office in Stony Brook . Seasonal access permits applications are available on our website at: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/40414.html#Seasonal. For additional information regarding seasonal access permits or sporting licenses please contact the Sporting license office at (631) 444-0273.

Firearms deer hunting: Daily permits are required. Those eligible to select a date and site to hunt select NYSDEC-managed areas will be determined by a random drawing held on the first Tuesday of December.
