**The dates listed above are the dates the East Hampton Cooperative Area is open for hunting. Hunters must still adhere to the species specific season dates as listed in the 2012-13 Hunting and Trapping Regulations Guide and the 2012‑2013 Waterfowl Hunting Seasons and Regulations. Please refer to the Public Hunting Opportunities on Long Island Brochure or the East Hampton Cooperative Hunting Area Hunting Map and Information Sheet for additional information.

Waterfowl, small game and archery deer hunting: Seasonal access permits are required. These can be obtained in person at the Ridge Hunter Check Station while open, or in person or by mail at the NYS DEC Sporting License Office in Stony Brook . Seasonal access permits applications are available on our website at: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/40414.html#Seasonal. For additional information regarding seasonal access permits or sporting licenses please call the Wildlife Office at (631) 444-0310 or the Ridge Hunter Check Station at (631) 924-3156.

Firearms deer hunting: Daily permits are required. Those eligible to select a date and site to hunt select NYSDEC‑managed areas will be determined by a random drawing held on the first Tuesday of December.
