Long Pond Easement - Accessible Camping and Recreation

Universal symbol of accessible sitesThere are five accessible drive-to campsites on the Long Pond Conservation Easement in the St Lawrence County Town of Colton. Accessible features at the campsites include a privy, tent pad and fire ring. The surface of the campsite is a firm stable surface suitable for mobility devices. ATV's are allowed on roads or trails posted open to such use. Accessible parking, privy and kiosk with a map of the area are provided at the main parking lot. Special regulations are in effect in this area, such as no public hunting is allowed from September 1 through December 15 of each year through 2013 and no public use of the property is allowed from October 1 through December 15 of each year through 2013.

Accessible Campsite at Long Pond EasementDirections:

The entrance is located on the west side of state Route 56 approximately 10 miles north of state Route 3 intersection (Sevey Corners), traveling north or approximately 7.5 miles south of South Colton, if traveling south.
