Access:
The pond is located in a nature preserve.
Directions: Twin Ponds is located in the Betty Allen Nature Preserve in Centerport. It can be accessed directly from Route 25A just west of Stony Hollow Road. The parking lot is opposite the ponds on the north side of Route 25A. Exercise caution when crossing the road.
Restrictions: Boats are prohibited, but shoreline access is available.
Fish Species:
Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Largemouth Bass, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout.
Fishing:
Trout are stocked in the spring and fall. The resident warmwater species provide some year round fishing opportunity to the neighborhood but are otherwise unlikely to justify a special trip. The best fishing is near the dam on the north side of the pond. The south end is extremely shallow.
