Landing Data Sources
The New York Commercial Fisheries Quota Usage Report is compiled from various sources of data detailing all landings in New York State.
Landings information listed in this report are comprised of data from the following:
- state and federal dealer reports submitted online to SAFIS,
- vessel trip reports from federal permit holders submitted to NOAA Fisheries Service
- vessel trip reports from state permit holders submitted to DEC Division of Marine Resources
- vessel trip reports from state permit holders submitted online to SAFIS
The report below should be considered preliminary. Discrepancies between this and prior reports may be based on corrections to data from all sources and late reporting.

- Standard Atlantic Fisheries Information System (SAFIS) operated by the Atlantic Coastal Cooperative Statistics Program (ACCSP)
- Greater Atlantic Fisheries Office (GARFO) of NOAA Fisheries
- NYSDEC Division of Marine Resources Commercial Fisheries Data Office (DMR) as reported on NYS Vessel Trip Reports
All available data is used to determine fisheries status and trip limit changes.
