Willowemoc Wild Forest - Unit Management Plan
Located in the southwest corner of the Catskill Park, the Willowemoc Wild Forest contains more than 14,800 acres of Forever Wild Forest Preserve. It lies largely within the northern Sullivan County Towns of Neversink and Rockland, with small appendages in the Towns of Denning and Hardenburgh in Ulster County. The Wild Forest surrounds the Mongaup Pond State Campground and abuts the Big Indian Wilderness.

Status of the UMP

2006 Amendment - Snowmobile Trails, Waneta Lake Access, and Utility Relocation
This amendment contained three proposals:
- Relocation of electrical and telephone service for Mongaup Pond Campground
- Provision of access to Waneta Lake for people with disabilities
- Provision of loop opportunities within the Quick Lake snowmobile trail system
2001 Amendment - Lean-to Construction and Parking Lot Expansion
This amendment proposed to remove a lean-to at Long Pond and construct a new one on the opposite side of the pond. It also proposed to expand the parking area on Black Bear Road to accommodate 10 vehicles with snowmobile or horse trailers.
